Introducing Reverand Peter Boote

Peter: hails originally from England, but is now happily on this side of the pond and
particularly loves Saskatchewan, having been a priest in this province before he went to Newfoundland. His former life before priesthood included such varied pursuits as being a hotel manager, a financial consultant and the running of his own Victorian English pub.
Mary Ann: Peter's wife is also a priest who has served in other dioceses besides Saskatchewan;
but like Peter, loves this province best. Her former life included teaching in both public and
private schools and working for an organization that housed and assisted those with physical and mental challenges. Their wider interests together include organic gardening, hiking and camping. Individually they are fascinated by woodworking, forging and classical music on Peter's part and anything to do with fibres, sheep and cooking food from around the world on Mary Ann's. Six children and six grandchildren keep them grounded in family love and experience, and the love of teaching; preaching and pastoral care keep them grounded in God's love and work in this world. They look forward to all that is to come, full of hope for God's blessings as they move to Maple Creek. They are both excited to meet the people here and learn about the heritage and dynamic that has shaped this community.
